Co-op Manager

Medtronic's Boston office has grown by over 150 software engineers since I started. I identified a need for more mechanical engineering support in my operating unit and contacted Northeastern University to develop a relationship with their Co-op program.

As a Co-op manager, I select top quality candidates from a pool of 80+ applicants, conduct interviews, advocate for the role within Medtronic, and work with HR to create the position each cycle.

I am the main mentor for the Co-op, responsible for creating projects suited to their learning goals, holding regular design reviews, and teaching general professional mechanical engineering skills.

Workshop Manager

I oversee the mechanical workshop space in our office and complete regular safety inspections, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and space priority allocation. During our 2024 office relocation I designed the new lab space and managed transferring all the equipment. While managing the space, usage has increased from 3 to 18 onsite mechanical engineers.

My role ensures that everyone has access to a functioning hardware prototyping space with necessary equipment for their project needs.

Following our victory in the 2018 NASA Mars Ice Challenge, my teammates and I founded the Northeastern University chapter of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS). Our goal was to create an organization where students lead independent research and engineering projects, gaining hands-on experience beyond their course curriculums.

In our first year, as founding president I established the club’s structure, mentorship programs, and resource allocation to support teams tackling senior capstone-level challenges and research projects. As the organization grew, I transitioned to the role of finance chair, where I developed purchasing workflows and reimbursement processes to streamline funding within the university. After a brief break while on a co-op outside Boston, I returned as president for my final year, overseeing the club’s expansion.

By the time I graduated, SEDS had grown to over 100 active members across six research teams, competing in national challenges and driving innovative space-related projects. I continue to support the organization by supporting the alumni network and connecting students with alumni to help mentor teams.

Founding and leading this community of ambitious, driven engineers remains my greatest achievement at Northeastern University.
